Here at 'Union Mash Up' we are dedicated to traditional cooking (proper food at a proper price), creating traditional British fare, for you to enjoy in the relaxed atmosphere of our original Edwardian butchers shop. We like to keep our food simple, nothing clever, no tricks, just good locally sourced, freshly prepared, unpretentious, mouthwatering food. Food like it used to be.

Chef
Since joining us on Valentines day, our new head chef Dave has revamped our menu bringing to bear his experience from the London restaurant scene. His enthusiasm and flair for traditional British food has brought the Mash Up to a point where we feel confident in moving forward into the summer and beyond, and hopefully welcoming new and old faces of all ages to share in our exciting future.

Local ingredients
Whilst our fruit, vegetables, fish, and meat are all locally sourced, and our bread is made right here every day in the restaurant, we also use suppliers from around Britain to make sure that we always have the best possible ingredients available for our chef to choose from.
Daily specials
In addition to our regular menus our chef will also be creating a series of 'daily specials', with each dish completely dependent on the ingredients available from our local suppliers on that particular day - Please see the 'specials board' inside the restaurant for information about our daily specials.
Hot drinks
At 'Union Mash Up' we also have a varied selection of hot drinks for you to enjoy. Our teas include English, Earl Gray, Darjeeling, camomile, peppermint, lemon, ginger, herbal infusion, and green. If it is coffee you prefer we have Americana, Latte, Cappuccino, and Espresso, and if tea or coffee don't tickle your fancy you can always relax with a sumptuous hot chocolate and some mini marshmallows.
Alcohol
We have a variety of wines, beers, and lagers (bottled and draught) available to accompany your meal, and for lovers of Champagne, we sell a couple of nice Taittinger's; the Brut Reserve, and the Rose. If you wish to arrive a little bit early and relax in our upstairs lounge until your table is ready that would be great... And when your meal is finished why not return to the lounge to while away the hours with some good conversation and a drink of your choice.
